Dublin is a very popular destination for visitors to Ireland, whether for a weekend break or as a stopping off point for a tour of Ireland. The City was founded by the Vikings, and the area around Dublin was formely known as the Pale. This area was the seat of British Administration in Colonial Times. Dublin itself has plenty to offer. It is easy to get around on foot, has plenty of nice Restaurants and Cafes, and some fantastic tourist sites.
